Aoraki Table Tennis Championships
Roncalli was represented with 10 out of the 26 teams competing at the Aoraki Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championships held on Monday 19th July at the Table Tennis South Canterbury Centre.  Teams which consisted of two players were put into sections of four and each team played three rounds of singles and doubles before post section knock out play took place.
Three Roncalli teams won their respective sections:-
Section 1 (Roncalli 1) - Hamish Race & Henry Race
Section 3 (Roncalli 3) - Jessi Drake & Hayden Blackler
Section 5 (Roncalli 5) - Tom Anderson & James Brosnahan
Other results:-2nd; (Roncalli 4) - Luke Elsen & Time Heke;  (Roncalli 6) - Non Pleumworasawat and Patrick O'Neil; (Roncalli 8) - James Spence & Lee Cooper.
3rd; (Roncalli 2) - Harlem Cole & Lindsay Christey; (Roncalli 9) - Adam Mathewson & Shannon Booth.  4th; (Roncalli 7) - C J Millar & Matt Black; (Roncalli 10) - Tyler Day & Matt Weaver.
Section winners then went onto post section knock out play, unfortunately for Roncalli's section winners they were up against tough opposition and were knocked out in the first round.  The remaining teams who finished 2nd and 3rd in their sections went onto play further games.  Due to time restrictions Roncalli didn't get the chance to crossover and play other teams to decide 3rd place overall.  The players enjoyed the experience and to be represented with the majority of teams proves the sport is becoming more popular at Roncalli College.
