Roncalli in the Press Cup
The Roncalli 1st XV successfully qualified for the Press Cup this season. The Press Cup is a competition played for by secondary schools throughout the South Island. The 1st XV managed to defeat Rangiora in a hotly contested match 18 - 17 in the curtain-raiser to the Crusaders vs Sharks Super 14 game on their home turf at AMI Stadium. The team really enjoyed the game, and are very happy with the success they have had this season. The 1st XV are playing in the Press Cup instead of the local Under 18 Competition, and have come up against some very good opposition in the matches they have played so far.
